It's been 6 years since The Late Great Jam Master Jay has left us,I can't wait for his dvd to drop so everyone can see the impact this man has left on many, how great he was,I send my best to his family, wife and kids,my homie Phonz and 50 for this dvd that's gonna be so good for the world to see.I got 1 image stuck in my head I will never forget.
Me being in Rosedale Queens in his basement studio right before snake road making some tracks and him geting on me about my drums then we started listening to some new Lost Boys& Onyx records then he played me this new kid he found from southside and I was blown away by how ill this kid was and I swear i told him Jay fuck that I know these other 2 groups got a deal already and open budgets but I wanna work with this kid,he's fucking hot,who is he,I kept going on and on,he picked up his phone, made a call and said I'll be right back, sure enuff he came right back and said come out front,I came from out the basement to meet this kid wearing a chain with a cross with one quarter and five nickels in the cross and got introduced to him as his new artist 50 cent this was 1997..Now that introduction was one that was gonna be the start of a future with one of the most incredible artist to ever impact this industry,I mean I know Jay was so proud of us cause when i scene him in Chicago a month before he left us he had this smile on his face that really let me know how happy and proud he was..I tell you man, this man gave his soul to hiphop,he mentored us,took time and believed in us,I LOVE YOU Jay.you will never be forgotten..plus we from the same side of Queens so it's in the water..Stand up and salute this man,he is the greatest Dj is the U.S.A.
